Golden's CFPV fuses can protect your off-grid or grid-tied PV system from accidental ground faults and line faults.

 

Golden have offered a compact, safe and economic circuit protect solution for solar system. As one of the Golden's solar broad portfolio of fuse products, the 1500Vdc CFPV NHXL fuses are specifically designed for the protection of photovoltaic system. The rated voltage of this serieS of fuses is up to 1500Vdc, the rated current is up to 500A, and the rated breaking capacity is up to 50KA. Fuse link element is encapsulated in the high-strength ceramics with the benefits of compact body size and high capacity of thermal shock resistance. For application flexibility, we have developed 2 mount ways of CFPV-HXL fuses.

     A: The equivalent UK Standard is BS88.

4)  Q:My fuse has a Vac rating, can I place it in a Vdc circuit?
     A: Fuses have their Vac or Vdc rating explicitly defined on their datasheet. Some fuses do have both Vac and Vdc ratings. Fuses without a Vdc rating should not be applied in Vdc circuits.

5)  Q: Can a time delay fuse be used to replace a fast-acting fuse?
    A: This depends on the opening performance and protection desired. Fast acting fuses help quickly limit fault currents from damaging downstream components during short circuit events. However, harmless inrush or temporary surge currents may cause nuisance openings unless these fuses are oversized. Time-delay fuses allow for some higher withstand capability during these harmless inrush or surge currents and allow for closer overcurrent protection for short circuit events. Replacing a fast-acting fuse with a time-delay fuse ultimately requires analysis of the normal operating conditions, possible inrush or surge currents and desired opening performance.
